Gynecomastia

Gynecomastia is the name given to abnormal but benign growth in the amount of breast tissue in men due to an imbalance of estrogen and testosterone hormones. Gynecomastia may affect one breast in some cases and both breasts in some cases. Both breasts may be affected irregularly and reach different sizes.

Before the gynecomastia surgery, the most suitable breast form is decided according to the planning and examinations made with the patient. There are two different aesthetic intervention approaches, open surgery and liposuction, depending on the nature of breast enlargement in the patient.

If the growth in the breast is moderate or advanced, the open surgery method is applied. Gynecomastia is performed under general anesthesia and takes about 2 hours. Excess tissue is removed through tiny incisions in the chest area. If the sagging is severe, skin tissue is taken. The surgery is completed by closing the incisions with a non-marking aesthetic suture.

If the growth in the breast is not advanced, the excess tissue is removed by entering under the arm or under the breast with the Liposuction method. Surgery performed under local anesthesia takes 30 to 90 minutes. takes.
